Julie Baldwin
Birdie (she/her) has a B.A. in American Studies (American history, English and political science) and a minor in journalism (2010); she is earning a certificate in Editing from the University of Chicago (2024). She was an Ohio statehouse reporter, a freelance writer and editor, and a U.S. history teacher for middle school, college prep and AP classes. She is a member of ACES: The Society of Editing and Editorial Freelance Association (EFA), and specializes in line editing masters’ theses. She also does developmental editing, copy editing, and proofreading. She lives in the Midwest with her husband, children, three African dwarf frogs and one nerite racing snail.

I’m the founder and former editor for Patriots of the American Revolution magazine and been a freelance writer for over 35 years. I’ve also taught classes on writing and self publishing, and currently the CEO/Owner of JWC Publishing. JWC is a complete editorial company that offers clients editing, proofreading, ghostwriting, and a course on how to create income through writing.
