Rebecca Schwartz
I’m a freelance editor with over 20 years of experience—longer if you count all the typos I used to find in my early reader books. I love the English language (even if teaching it, or even fully understanding it, is fraught with trouble). My job is to make everything you do better.

I’m Zac, founder of Lexical Lighthouse, LLC and professional proofreader. I graduated from the Proofread Anywhere training program, earning 100 percent on the final exam. I follow the Chicago Manual of Style and Merriam-Webster Dictionary. The tools I use are Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and iAnnotate (for PDF annotations). I am a volunteer proofreader for Project Gutenberg books through Distributed Proofreaders. I work with general texts such as fiction or non-fiction books, blogs, articles, and business newsletters or promotional materials.

I’m an independent editor who edits most genres but specializes in fantasy, soft science fiction, historical fiction, and mystery–and mashups of those genres–for middle grade and up. I’ve helped traditionally published authors like Angie Thomas (The Hate U Give), Erin Craig (House of Salt and Sorrows) and Shannon Price (A Thousand Fires), small-press authors like Janina Woods and Justine Manzano, self-published authors like Whitney Hill (The Otherside Series) and Melissa Koberlein, and hybrid authors like Amy Reade and Gayle Trent.

Simone Palermo
Simone Palermo is aspiring to become a professional writer. He is currently attending college at Southern New Hampshire University under an English major for a Bachelor’s degree. During his senior years in high school, he took up writing fanfiction. Simone hopes to be able to use any skills learned from this to be able to publish his own works of fiction.
Erin Parker
A passionate advocate for authors and readers, I’ve become an expert and empathetic collaborator by wearing many hats over the years—as an editor, writer, teacher, and scholar of literature. Organized, thorough, and approachable, I’m a creative problem solver who always keeps the tiny details, the bigger picture, and an author’s unique voice in focus no matter the project.
