Lisa Walton is a writer, editor, and book coach who helps writers effectively and efficiently write books that hook readers and leave an emotional imprint. As an editor and book coach she helps authors at all stages of the drafting process craft a compelling and marketable story. From productivity hacks to project management, she teaches writers how to prepare for, plan, produce, and polish a book that readers can’t put down. A former lawyer and college professor, Lisa’s not afraid to provide a dose of tough love when necessary, but always in the nicest possible way–she was also an elementary school teacher.

I’m the founder of Artful Editor, a book editing company. I began my career as an assistant editor at a literary journal, then as a manuscript reviewer for a publishing company. I have an MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and have taught creative writing to students of all ages. Since launching Artful Editor in 2010, my team and I have helped hundreds of authors with their manuscripts.

Diana Ferguson is a General Proofreader dedicated to helping you present documents, books, blogs, and more that are as error free as possible.

Jamie McGillen holds an M.A. in English from Northern Arizona University, and a B.A. in English, from Western Washington University. She has worked as a technical editor for a defense contractor, and then as an English Instructor at Highline College. She is also the author of The Rainier Series, which is historical fiction set in the Pacific Northwest.
